2/24/09 Richard Brock and Norman Meullen Join GFR to Discuss Leads and Benefits
We had a fantastic show this morning! If you are an entrepreneur or small business owner, you owe it to yourself to listen to this show.
We had the opportunity to chat with Richard Brock of LeadLife, a company that provides on-demand marketing automation software solutions to help companies effectively manage their digital leads. Richard discussed how it is more important than ever before to be nurturing your incoming leads and turning those prospects into actual customers. LeadLife’s solutions are remarkably simple yet provide a wealth of information about each prospect. And, it allows a company to customize the solution based on whatever product or service they are offering.
Norman Meullen of Benefits Retain People talked to us about how small businesses can utilize benefits programs to both retain and find good talent for their companies. By employing a good strategy that includes what he calls “Consumer-Centric Benefits,” a company can differentiate itself from the competition. This results in less turnover, higher productivity, and an overall positive work environment for employees.
Both guests provided us with great free advice so definitely check out what they had to say! Have a great week and we’ll see you next Tuesday at 10am.

GeekBrief.tv’s Cali Lewis chats with Gravity Free Radio!
Pardon the pun, but we were pretty geeked up to talk with Cali Lewis, the face of the immensely popular video podcast site GeekBrief.tv.
Cali told us about how she and her husband started the site in 2005 — with absolutely zero experience — and managed to quit their day jobs and focus on their podcast site full-time within five months. She also talked about social media, some of the incredible people she’s met while hosting her online television show and her strategy for managing her brand. Cali also had some terrific free advice for entrepreneurs.

2/10/09: SEO expert Rick Batchelor and social media guru Jim Turner on Gravity Free Radio
We had a great show this morning chatting with SEO expert Rick Batchelor of Qiigo and social media consultant Jim Turner of One By One Media.
Rick helped demystify some basic principles of SEO and provided some very good information on how search engines actually find content on your site. He also gave us some insight on where SEO rookies should start when trying to put a plan together. Rick is the author of the popular e-book SEO for Google and is available for consulting engagements through Qiigo.
Jim Turner of One By One Media built his expertise in social media when he gained popularity as a “daddy blogger” several years ago. He gave us some background on how business owners could use social media as a tool in their marketing arsenal and how they could go about getting started in social media if they are not already involved. In addition to his consulting practice, Jim also owns Bloggers for Hire, a company that matches companies with outside blogging resources. You can also follow Jim (aka Genuine) on Twitter.
Both guests also offered fantastic free advice, definitely a must listen.
